Technical summary
SafeZone protects children in their yards and soldiers in battle, containers in transit. It adds layers of simple but effective safety to airports and other areas with high value assets. The system is expandable and adaptable. It can secure a perimeter and employ various methods of detection and reporting; the system can employ sensors for motion, temperature, sound, iand other environmental factors. The system monitors itself and can report and compensate for tags that are damaged or tampered with. The system has long-term battery life, can operate invisibly, and carry out analytic functions, inventories, and other processes, such as controlling access and protecting data by requiring electronic authorization for access to a computer or flash drive, for example. Tags communicate with each other as well as with controllers.
This smart sensing technology is stand-alone but can communicate with internet systems. On its own, the system is extremely energy efficient and only reacts to pre-set parameters and triggers of interest. A trigger allows the system to employ environmental sensors but also has track, locate, control and recognition functions. The system will send alerts or other information as programmed, which is a simple menu-driven function. For example, the system may ignore x number of events but at x+1 alerts. Thus, SafeZone offers a library of application services and programmable user modules. The system can be as simple as one tag and one controller or as complex as a sophisticated array in a large structure with multiple capabilities. The controller and tags can be disguised as ordinary objects or within ordinary objects, due to their miniature size.
SafeZone offers an efficient cognitive tag and sensor management that can log and communicate in real time, as well as sound alarms locally. The system is extremely difficult to detect (WORK ON THIS) and can remain silent or log events as required. When individuals are wearing tags, the system can track and locate them, find missing individuals and alert when an individual is going beyond a set perimeter or moving out of range. The tags and controllers can be programmed to make multiple efforts at contact and, for vital applications, a more powerful controller/antenna can travel to find the straying tag.
SafeZone is an ultra low
power, low cost, smart tag and controller system that is adaptable to a wide
range of situations and purposes.
